Photomonth is a month dedicated to the celebration of photography. It is an international photography festival focussed in the area of East London. Founded in 2001 and taking place in October through to November each year the festival aims to demonstrate the diversity of contemporary photography and to reach the widest possible audience. This year there is a number of events and exhibitions taking place. More than 100 galleries and venues are exhibiting work by established and emerging photographers.
Some of the major events include photolounge at the Old Truman Brewery, the photomonth lecture at the Whitechapel Gallery and the photo-open at the Rich Mix. There is also a whole series of photowalks and a wide range of workshops, seminars, talks and discussions providing opportunities for everyone to engage in photography. Last but not least there is a fantastic Photofair in Spitalfields Traders Market were we (Film’s not dead) will be displaying our work as well as selling a number of other items, to find out, come visit us on the 8th of October, we will be there from 10 – 6pm, we look forward to seeing you!
