As we learned from David Bailey in the 70’s the Olympus Trip 35 is a really simple camera to use which can produce some fantastic photographs.
Released for those who wanted a light camera which was easy to carry and use. The Olympus Trip 35 features a 40mm ƒ2.8 lens and a selenium light meter (the ring around the lens) which doesn’t require any batteries, so it’s always ready to go. If you wish to shoot with a flash you can set your apertures and the camera will fire at 40th of a second.
The Trip 35 is point and shoot in every sense of the word, just set the camera to A (automatic) and it will set your shutter speed and aperture for you.
Adjust the focus using the diagrams on the lens depending on the distance and type of photograph you wish to take.
One of our favourite features on the Trip 35 is the red flag that pops up within the viewfinder which will stop the camera taking a photo if the camera sees it as too dark, so you never waste a frame on a bad exposure. With it’s iconic design and ease of use the Olympus Trip 35 is a great original point and shoot camera which can be used anywhere and by anyone.
